Our History

Planted in 1875. Still Bearing Fruit Today.

Red Bud began in 1875 under the shade of redbud trees, where faithful believers met in prayer and unity. With nothing but open air and open hearts, they laid the foundation for a church that would thrive for generations.
From that sacred beginning, God has grown Red Bud into a strong, spirit-filled body of believers — a lighthouse in Henderson, NC. Our legacy isn’t just about the past; it’s a testimony of what’s possible when ordinary people believe in an extraordinary God.

What We Believe

Jesus is the center. The Bible is our foundation. Grace is our message.

At Red Bud, we believe the Gospel changes everything — not just our Sundays, but our whole lives. We stand on the unshakable truth of God’s Word and the life-transforming power of His grace.

We Believe:

  • The Bible is God-breathed, fully true, and fully relevant — our ultimate authority and guide.

  • God is One — revealed in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

  • Jesus Christ lived perfectly, died sacrificially, rose victoriously, and will return triumphantly.

  • Salvation is not earned — it’s a free gift of grace received through faith in Jesus alone.

  • Baptism & Communion are sacred expressions of our faith and unity in Christ.

  • The Church is God’s people on mission — to love deeply, serve boldly, and make disciples everywhere.

 

We’re not just hearers of the Word — we’re doers.
We don’t just believe in God — we belong to Him, walk with Him, and reflect Him.
